What are the SDGs?

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted at the United Nations Summit in September 2015, are a set of global goals to be achieved by 2030. They consists of 17 goals to realize a sustainable world and 169 specific targets to achieve them, and pledges to "leave no one behind."

Contributing to the Vitalization of the Capital Markets by Building Internal and External Partnerships

Establishing an infrastructure for disclosure is the most important social mission for our Group, which places disclosure & IR at the center of its business. By supporting our customers in all aspects of information disclosure, we help improve the quality of information disclosure and promote dialogue. In order to provide better services, it is important for us to build stronger partnerships with external stakeholders, including customers, securities market participants and business partners, in addition to partnerships within the Group. We are advancing our business with the conviction that these efforts will lead to the vitalization of capital markets.

Activities of the Diversity Project Are the Driving Force behind the Creation of a Comfortable Workplace

The Diversity Project is a cross-sectional initiative launched by Takara Printing in 2009. The project aims to create a comfortable working environment by promoting active participation by female employees, taking of childcare leave by male employees and nursing care leave, and reducing overtime hours. It actively engages in internal educational activities, holding events and workshops, and proposing systems to the company. After more than 10 years of activities, diversity awareness has spread throughout the company, and various systems have been established that are easy for everyone to use. In 2020, the 12th year of the project, we initiated activities for the full-scale implementation of telework.

Obtaining Green Printing Certification and Realizing Environmentally Conscious Manufacturing Processes

With the growing social demand concerning environmental issues, the printing industry is also required to manufacture environmentally friendly products. In September 2009, the Ukima Plant, one of the Group's manufacturing bases with a particularly high environmental impact, was certified as a Green Printing Plant by the Japan Federation of Printing Industries. This certification certifies that the manufacturing process and printing materials for the printed products are environmentally friendly. Creating such environmentally friendly manufacturing environment enables our Group to provide customers with environmentally friendly printing processes.
