Internal environment improvement policy
For the Group to achieve sustainable growth, it is essential to create a work environment where each employee can maximize their capabilities. We are required to create a sustainable corporate environment by developing services that utilize the strengths of each company with a sense of unity as the TAKARA & CO. Group and responding quickly to changing times.
To achieve this, we need an environment where employees can have a clear career vision, pursue their own potential, and experience growth. We would like to continue to develop a place to further promote cross-sectional exchanges beyond the group companies, share issues, and seek solutions.
Our Group provides services with various specialties. We would like to provide training content that ensures this specialization and support each employee so that they can respond as an expert. This will increase customer satisfaction, which will ultimately lead to improved employee engagement and maximize individual performance.
We will continue to promote the development of an internal environment that suits each group company, and consider and implement continuous and effective measures to make it an engine of growth for our Group. We hope to build the future of the TAKARA & CO. Group by creating an environment where employee happiness and corporate growth are compatible.
Respect for human rights and diversity
Our group upholds the policy of "respect for human rights," eliminating unfair discrimination, and making all employees aware of our policy of conducting fair corporate activities. In addition, in order to promote diversity initiatives, Takara Printing launched the "Diversity Project" in 2009. Currently, we are carrying out activities to embrace diversity, such as promoting teleworking, encouraging understanding of male childcare leave, and holding self-development roundtable discussions. This year, we aim to expand these activities to the entire group and promote the growth of the company by having a "mutually beneficial" spirit and respecting and accepting each other. We will continue to create an environment in which all employees can accept diversity and gain new realizations.
To that end, we need to continue to foster an environment that is easy to work in.
For example, we believe that efforts to eliminate the anxiety that individual employees have are an important element in creating an easy-to-work environment. The Human Resources Department will conduct individual interviews with new graduates and career hires on a regular and irregular basis as appropriate for one year after joining the company, and through these interviews, we will understand the worries and challenges that each employee feels in an unfamiliar environment. The information obtained here is fed back to the department, taking into consideration the individual's wishes, and is used as a reference for management. By having the HR department and the department approach each other together, we are careful to ensure that employees do not remain anxious.
Although there are limits, we aim to utilize human resources in a way that makes the most of each individual's individuality by being conscious of being as considerate as possible to the various thoughts that arise in the course of work.
Consideration for the mental and physical health of employees
Our group considers it our responsibility to promote the health of each employee, and implements multifaceted measures based on the opinions of industrial physicians, experts, and the safety and health committee. Various measures are taken based on the four basic cares of mental health measures. Takara Printing has created an easy-to-work environment by implementing a leave system for personal injury or illness, granting special leave, and changing the standard for granting paid leave beyond the statutory standard. This year, we opened a new counseling room, making it possible for industrial counselors to consult on daily concerns. This will prevent mental disorders and increase employee engagement. We will continue to promote the creation of an environment in which employees can work with enthusiasm, and will continue to carry out activities in stages so that the entire group can respond.
Due to changes in the employment environment, more employees are working long years after retirement. In order to keep employees working long years, it is necessary to be more conscious of the health of all employees, including those after retirement, and from the perspective of safety considerations, we are taking care of the health of our employees through approaches to those with findings in health checkups to lead to early detection of the cause of illness, and industrial physician interviews for stress checks.
Furthermore, a stable life base also gives employees peace of mind when working for a long time. Many employees consider asset formation to be a personal issue, in addition to salary and bonuses. We would like to proactively provide various information to help such employees imagine their second life. Due to the unique nature of our business, our company prohibits investment in individual stocks. We will fully guarantee this, and with the cooperation of experts from financial institutions and other institutions, we would like to create a forum for providing information so that employees can choose the asset formation method that suits them, as one of our employee benefits measures.
Support for men taking childcare leave
Publicizing male childcare leave through in-house newsletter
As part of its diversity promotion project, Takara Printing has been working to promote understanding of male childcare leave. By publishing articles in the in-house newsletter, etc., Takara Printing has deepened understanding of the system, and in February 2023, it revised its childcare leave regulations and introduced a system that grants five consecutive days of paid childcare leave when a spouse gives birth. This allows employees to take five days of paid childcare leave on weekdays and up to nine consecutive days of leave including weekends, and the take-up rate in the past year has reached 100%.
Going forward, we will promote awareness throughout the company with the aim of further promoting the take-up of male childcare leave. In addition, we will maintain an appropriate system while ensuring fairness in terms of treatment so that female employees are not unable to draw up a career plan due to life events. This will create an environment where all employees can work with peace of mind and further strengthen our corporate culture that respects diversity.
